Pre Incan exploration

We set out into Peru’s Sacred Valley with a sense of curiosity, chasing the stories of the people who shaped these mountains long before us. First stop was Chinchero, a quiet village where life still feels deeply connected to the past. Watching traditional weaving and walking among ancient terraces, it felt like time had slowed down, giving us a glimpse into traditions that have endured for centuries.

From there we travelled to Moray, the remarkable circular terraces often described as ancient laboratories. Standing at the edge and looking down, you can’t help but admire the ingenuity of the pre-Incan and Incan people; each level creating its own microclimate, experimenting with crops in a way that feels incredibly advanced even today.

Next came Ollantaytambo, a place that truly humbles you. The massive stone terraces and fortress structures rise with purpose and precision. Climbing them, step by step, you begin to appreciate the effort and vision it took to build something so enduring in such a challenging landscape.

Finally, we reached Pisac, where the ruins stretch high along the mountainside, overlooking the valley below. It’s a place that invites reflection on the people who lived here, their connection to the land, and the legacy they’ve left behind.

It was a journey through history, but more than that, a reminder of human resilience, creativity, and harmony with nature.
