Nazca Lines – Pyramid – Mummified Remains

A journey to Nazca wouldn’t be complete without jumping in a light aircraft and doing a rollercoaster ride through the countryside looking at the Nazca lines. We’re talking somewhere around 500 to 300 BC that these lines were made.

This country is so dry, it doesn’t rain here at all during the year in Nazca . That’s why the lines have been preserved for so long. Also, we’ve found some burial grounds still with human remains, cloth clothing, and ropes from the mummified remains. Unfortunately, they have been raided, dug up for the jewels and valuables they were buried with.

Why has the cloth remained; it is so dry the cloth and the rope hasn’t rotted away. It’s not in perfect condition, but is still evidence of the clothing that was on the people when they were buried.

That brings back memories – you were slightly upmarket – ours was just a one pilot 4 seater plane. LOL. Aren’t they amazing though?
Those graves – a bit freaky.
